Business Analyst with an Accountancy background required to join the Finance IT department within a leading Investment Bank in a critical and pivotal stage of the project. This team provides development and support activities across the bank’s range of applications including Product Control, Financial Control and Operations functions. They are currently in the process of rolling out their strategic finance platform which will standardise and integrate the finance processes across all business areas and regions. 

Once the full rollout is completed it will replace finance’s use of legacy sub-ledgers and transactional database leveraging the firm-wide strategic architecture methodologies. It will then perform month-end and daily finance processes and generate a daily balance sheet based profit and loss, with a daily feed to the general ledger.  Therefore you must be CIMA/ACA/equivalent qualified as you must have a strong understand of accounting systems, accounting rules, configuration tables, journal posting and tables.

In addition you will be the conduit between the technology and business teams and must have excellent stakeholder management skills. You will be responsible for gathering complex requirements and translating them into specifications for the developments teams. Having a technology is not mandatory within this position.
