Business Analyst – Asset Servicing recruitment

This role will include exposure to all elements of the SDLC, with close liaison with development teams in London, Singapore and Poland, business analysts in London and Singapore and business stakeholders / users / change managers globally.

Main Duties

Work closely with Asset Servicing users and the Operations change department to ensure business requirements are fully defined and documented
Production of detailed Functional specifications
Perform detailed walkthroughs / presentations of functional specifications to facilitate business sign off and development handover
Ensure documentation is proactively managed during the development lifecycle to ensure it continues to reflect business requirements as they change and evolve and the development solution as it progresses
Transparent and appropriately detailed project governance and communication
Active risk management and escalation
Testing:
• Preparation and execution of robust, Test scripts based on functional specifications
• System and User Acceptance Test support and management
General:
Live Support for user queries when needed
Post-live support for major enhancements
Training of business users in the enhancements being delivered
Additional responsibilities:
Identify issues within projects, processes or procedures and look to provide or influence solutions
Assist with second line support when issues cannot be resolved by follow-the-sun first line support team (usually within standard working hours)
Proactive communication with local and remote team members in person, over the phone or in VCs

Person Requirements
Essential:
Strong track record in structured Business analysis within an Asset Servicing project environment. Strong track record and proven success in Test Execution and managementStrong knowledge of investment banking processes
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong time management; ability to coordinate with various teams to action items
Strong internal relationship management skills – team works across many areas of the organisation, the ability to relate to people / work in ad-hoc teams is critical
Self starting team player, able to demonstrate initiative
Ability to adopt a fact based approach to issue resolution
Ability to prioritise, be flexible and respond to changing environments
Desirable:
Background within Asset Servicing Operations
Experience within an Investment Bank and understanding of Prime Brokerage and Capital Markets banking products
Systems:
SQL - able to understand and query relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server)
MS Office Suite - MS Project, Excel, Word, PPT etc for presentation and day to day role management
Enterprise Architect / Visio for process engineering
Quality Centre (Test Director)
