The Business Analyst (BA) provides the expertise necessary to insure that IT Services are documented, measured and controlled. Ensure that the documented business requirements match the intent and needs of the business. Must have the ability to understand the business goals, metrics, and measures and how to execute against the company objective. Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate at all levels of the organization; to include written and verbal communications. Actively leads efforts that encourage equitable problem resolution and improved working relationships.
The Business Analyst will perform detailed data analyses of IT systems. The role will work closely with the configuration management team to understand and document interdependencies related to service offerings. The role will also be tasked with research efforts related to potential service offerings and/or changes and will document the business requirements related to business enablement.
- Enumerate, analyze, catalog, and suggest improvements to the strategic, core and support processes of the business unit, as needed, to support strategic and operational goals.
- Define the data elements shared between this business unit and other units in the enterprise and the relationships between those data elements and processes, people, systems, and other data elements.
- Analyze the current business environment to detect critical deficiencies and identify improvement opportunities.
- Presents and translates the design to customers to ensure the design will meet the customers' requirements.
- Must be able to present and teach to large groups.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in business with management information systems, computer science or relevant experience level. (8-10 years in lieu of degree.)
Experience:
Six plus (6+) years experience in a multi-site and state business environment preferred.
Six plus (6+) years as a Business Analyst utilizing JDE, ADP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, SAP or other HCM (Human Capital Management) systems required. OTD, HR, Compensation and Benefits a plus.
Knowledgeable in Quick-Serve Restaurant (QSR) or Retail business processes a plus.
Knowledgeable in organizational design, process modeling and change management.
