Business Analyst – BCRS (Consumer Bank) recruitment
This encompasses liaising with both respective upstream and downstream functions (risk and finance and technology functions) in CB.
You should have excellent understanding of Bank’s data and data transformation rules and should have a broad idea about the various applications which BCRS interacts with.
Key Roles Responsibilities
Analysis and Solution Definition
• Quickly understands the business issues and data challenges of the Consumer Banking Business Stream.
• Identifies CB (Group and Country) strengths and weaknesses and suggests areas of improvement.
• Reviews and edits Business Requirements, specifications, business processes and recommendations related to proposed solution.
• Develops functional specifications for GTO engagements.
Technical Recommendation and Testing
• Leads testing efforts for every release.
• Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner.
• Works with Group CBRA, CB Finance and Country representatives to identify required changes.
• Communicates needed changes to GTO team and provide the Change Request Forms.
Project Execution
• Assists in enforcement of Release deadlines and schedules.
• Communicates and applies project standards to both Business and GTO.
• Manages resources in accordance with project schedule.
• Consistently delivers high-quality services to the Group Consumer Banking Business Stream
Qualifications Skills
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:
• Degree in Finance, Risk Management or Equivalent
• Strong understanding of Basel II – retail model implementation preferred
• Good understanding of SAS/ SQL and ability to write business queries and generate reports
• Some years of experience in financial services industry
• Extremely quick learner driven with a passion to perform
• Highly energetic individual with very high levels of commitment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to articulate concepts clearly
• Largely self-driven and ability to work well under pressure
• Knowledge of Fermat would be an added advantage
