Responsibilities:
- Supports Business Intelligence production environment including reports, dashboards, security, repository definitions.
- Work with business unit management and staff to determine business requirements, priorities, define KPI's and develop BI/DW strategy
- Design, configure and document logical and physical data models, data flow diagrams, business processes
- Work with business and development team to design, configure and document presentation layer for dashboards, alerts and reports
- Develop functional specifications, test plan, scripts and conduct system testing, user acceptance testing, performance testing and training
- Writes and maintains functional specifications for new or modified business systems/processes by tracking and documenting changes to functional and business specifications.
- Creates user training documentation, instructions, test scripts and procedures.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS required, MBA preferred
- 3+ years experience as a business analyst or equivalent supporting a major ERP system. Oracle ERP experience with ASCP, Inventory, Procurement and Manufacturing modules highly desirable.
- Business knowledge of Supply Chain, Planning, Inventory, Procurement and Manufacturing functions, processes and terminology required.
- Practical hands-on experience supporting or working with Business Intelligence / Data Warehousing environments (OBIEE preferred, Cognos, Brio, SAP BW, SAS, Siebel Analytics acceptable)
- Proficient with Toad, SQL Plus or related tools for troubleshooting and analysis.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in requirements gathering and development.
- Able to highlight issues/problems and convey complex thoughts, written and oral, in a clear, concise, and timely manner. Ability to present complex ideas and information in group settings.
- Works with end-users to understand evolving reporting requirements and to document them.
- Experience in interacting with all levels of business staff and management
- Strong analytical and process skills
- Ability to multitask and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates leadership by coordinating the design, development and testing efforts for small projects.
- Ability to adapt to a changing environment and proactively pursue incremental improvements
Preferred :
- Oracle/Siebel Business Intelligence application experience
- Oracle Applications 11i experience
- Business Knowledge of Supply Chain Planning, Inventory Management, Procurement, Manufacturing, Forecasting, capacity planning in a Pharmaceutical and/or manufacturing/distribution environment.
- Knowledge or experience with data marts or data warehouse working with ETL tools (Informatica, Data Stage, etc) and understanding the data conversion process.
- Project management experience
- Experience with validated systems and SDLC processes.
