Business Analyst, Business Intelligence Job in Dublin Ireland

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Business Analyst, Business Intelligence.
 
Role Responsibility
In this key role, you will clarify and agree requirements, recommend solutions to business intelligence needs of the business and support delivery of these solutions.

Additional Responsibilities:
•You will Investigate, clarify and agree user requirements for new business intelligence requests and negotiate and agree scope and timescales with users to achieve best possible match between operational needs and BI system suitability and capability.
•Developing, evaluating and recommending solutions to meet user needs in the form of logical data model and functional specifications, you will work in collaboration with the BI development team (in-house and third party) to ensure development work is completed to specification. You will also develop reports using the Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) solution.
•Managing user acceptance testing, system testing, implementation and post-implementation support of new/changes to solutions, you will be responsible for the training of super-users within the business areas on the use of the specific business intelligence solution delivered.

Experience and Qualification
•With prior relevant experience in delivering business intelligence solutions, you should possess a Bachelors degree in business, technology, information technology or related discipline.
•You will have experience of Dimensional Modelling principles and use of formal, structured methods and data modeling tools in developing business requirements and solutions. You will have also demonstrated ability in Data Analysis (inclusive of principles of statistics and data mining).
•You should have experience of SQL to run basic queries for data analysis and data profiling plus broad-based knowledge of business intelligence solutions. Experience in Oracle Business Intelligence (OBIEE) would be a distinct advantage. An overall understanding of systems architecture technology development lifecycle and good knowledge of Enterprise Data Model and Master Data management concepts would be advantageous.
•A consummate communicator, you will have excellent negotiation and presentation skills along with the ability to work with minimal supervision.
•You should be available to travel approximately 5% domestic and/or international.
