Business Analyst – Change Management recruitment
An exciting position has arisen for a Business Analyst within the London Branch of BNP Paribas Securities Services. The change management team supports the LCC (Local Clearing and Custody) and BDO (Broker Dealer outsourcing) business and operations by implementing IT and related procedural changes related to client requirements, operation and product development.
The main responsibilities and requirements of the role are:
Analysis and Documentation
• Discussion and review with key internal and external stakeholders
• Analysing existing end-to-end business processes and data-flows, as well as new business information requirements
• Defining problem areas and translating these into functional requirements
• Documenting recommendations for new and improved processes and systems changes specification which meet these requirements
Functional Development
• Develop new business processes and enhances existing ones within an agreed timeframe and budget
• Analysing, defining, designing and documenting the individual data elements, the data structures and their interrelationships resulting in well structured, flexible, reliable and cost-efficient systems to allow for clear and well-construed technical development
• Analysing, designing and documenting new and existing automated and non-automated business functions
• Liaising with internal IT teams and/or external IT vendors throughout the initiative lifecycle to ensure a clear understanding of business needs and to help validate the proposed and delivered solutions
Quality Management -
• Assists in the development and agreement on quality planning for the project by realising the tests and assisting in the organisation of user acceptance testing in order to ensure adequate functioning and to obtain final user acceptance
• Developing the business case for the project
• Participating in project check point reviews
Stakeholder Relationship Management -
• Ensures adequate project understanding and commitment with the internal key decision makers and key end user
• Managing relationships with internal key decision makers and key stakeholders
• Participating in development of project proposals and high level plans based on a thorough understanding of the business goals and objectives as well as information needs and expectations including time and cost estimates
• Assisting project sponsors in getting agreements on proposed project plans, amongst others by involving key end users in all major development stages
Project Management -
• Providing effective leadership to the project team and taking appropriate action where performance deviates from agreed tolerances
• Identifying, assessing and managing risks to the success of the project
• Preparing realistic project and quality plans and, providing regular reports to stakeholders as appropriate
• Managing change control procedure and ensuring that project deliverables are completed within planned cost, timescale and resource budgets
• Ensuring that quality reviews occur on schedule and according to procedure
Education
Required:
- Degree or equivalent
Desirable:
- ISEB or equivalent
• Structured analysis methods such as (DFD, ERD, Use cases)
Technical Experience
Required:
• Proven experience in a business analysis or process development and/or consulting role
• Delivery of business analysis solutions and system functional specifications
• Good understanding and practice of the IT development lifecycle.
• Good understanding of the UK market clearing and custody environment
• Demonstrable written and verbal communication skills, including presentation skills and report writing
Desirable:
• Core technology skills
• Knowledge of SWIFT messaging standards
• Detailed knowledge of Corporate Actions and related tax rules
• Detailed knowledge of the Clearing and Settlement areas (UK and/or Europe)
