Business Analyst - Clearing Systems / Derivatives Clearing
A global financial exchange are looking for a business analyst to work on the development project of clearing and post trade settlement capabilities The ideal candidate will require thorough knowledge of derivatives clearing, clearinghouse operations and back office clearing and settlement systems. The successful business analyst will elicit, analyse and document business requirements for technology initiatives which include high level requirement capture to support the development of business cases and project initiation relating to clearing systems.
We are searching for an experienced business analyst with commercial experience around clearing systems and derivatives clearing operations, the business analyst will need to have worked in a financial derivatives based environment any experience of Murex or Calypso would be a distinct advantage.
Essential:
- Good knowledge of business process analysis/ modelling and 'data mining' techniques.
- Reasonable knowledge of Clearing business areas (or similar business knowledge) and experience of applying this knowledge in a project / change environment.
- Ability to communicate clearly with people from all levels of the organisation and external customers and suppliers.
- Ability to document complex business requirements clearly and unambiguously.
- More than 5 years experience in a commercial environment (business implementation transformation projects)
- More than 5 years analysing business problems and designing solutions.
- More than 5 years in a high change environment.
- More than 5 years working on business critical software projects in financial organisations.
Desirable:
- Experience with Murex and or Calypso
- Experience working with PAT Systems or ICE
- Technical certifications including ISEB Diploma in Systems Development (BA) or equivalent, PRINCE2 or equivalent.
- Investment banking, derivatives markets or trading of other financial products.
- Good knowledge of test methodologies, standards and processes.
- More than 2 years experience of planning and delivering professional presentations.
- More than 2 years experience of test preparation, execution and analysis.
