Business Analyst – Client Onboarding and KYC recruitment
The Client OnBoarding (COB) CTB (“Change the Bank”) team sits within Global Business Services and is responsible for replacing existing COB legacy systems with a new workflow application. This is a multi-discipline programme which aligns with the development and deployment of a new reference data solution. There are over 1,000 users of the current systems globally and this complex programme will migrate users, processes, interfaces and data to the new platform.
System Migration Workstream is to ensure any upstream providers or downstream consumers from the legacy Client onboarding Platform are migrated across to the new strategic COB/Client Golden Source platform.
The successful Business Analyst will be responsible for working with the various IT and business teams to ensure successful migration across to the new strategic solution.
Key Responsibilities
As a Business Analyst you will:
- Perform current-state analysis on the data feeds that feed into or publish out of the legacy applications – both technical interface and data element aspects
- Collate all upstream and downstream functional and data requirements
- Produce a consolidated requirements that encompass all systems inscope for migration
- Host requirements gathering workshops
- Work with IT Teams and partner Programme Leads to define and shape the to-be solution
- Work and coordinate with internal programme and external systems (provider and consumer) testing teams during all stages of testing
- Oversee the development of solution from our partnering Client Golden Source application and consumers]
- Oversee (where appropriate) and provide support on the deployment of solution
- Work with other programme workstreams where appropriate to ensure successful development, implementation and roll out of the overall COB solution
Candidate requirements
You will have:
- Worked as a (senior) Business Analyst on a business facing technology implementation project(s) aimed at replacing an existing technology platform
- Experience of (client) reference data, client onboarding and KYC processes within investment banking or other financial institution
- An awareness of the various Regulatory commitments around client onboarding and KYC
- Strong prior experience of gathering requirements for business facing solutions
- Strong analytical skills and ability to come up with questions that enable the candidate to elicit the sought-after requirements
- Prior experience of working on complex migration of system and data
- Strong experience with writing business requirements preferably in the form of Use Case, Activity Diagrams and Sequence Diagrams
- Experience in performing gap analysis from both user and data requirements
- Experience in performing data mining
- Experience in writing business rules and describing data elements
- Strong experience writing detailed functional test scripts, managing test data and being closely involved with the testing lifecycle from functional testing through to UAT
- Possess a strong knowledge of data, databases and how accessing that data is usually performed

- Excellent communicator with the ability to interact effectively with multiple stakeholders at varying levels of management across diverse global locations and differing functions (e.g. trade capture, operations, technology, client service, etc.)
- Professional candidate who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and works with minimum supervision
- Excellent communicator, articulate and well presented. Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels of management and to a wide global user base
- Extreme attention to accuracy, work across various levels of detail, quality of presentation and timeliness of delivery
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to assimilate information quickly
- Proven team player who “goes the extra mile” in striving to provide quality service
- A lateral thinker who can explore concepts “outside the box” in search of improvements and solutions
- Excellent at presenting information in the appropriate format depending on audience
- Proficient Office in particular Visio and PowerPoint skills
- Competent in the use of testing tools such as Quality Centre
- Graduate with at least a 2.1 in computer science/engineering, numerate or business related subject.
