Business Analyst – Collateral Management Services Strategic Replacement recruitment
Overview
CaLM IT currently requires Business Analysts to work on the Strategic replacement project. The Collateral Management Service Business Analyst will work closely with the project team to define the business processes and requirements required to deliver the strategic programme and ongoing tactical work. This will involve capturing requirements across the Group, covering the London and Paris and U.S. based operation. The BA will take requirements through to workflow development such that this can be encoded into the chosen technology. The BA will then be responsible for defining acceptance criteria for the resulting solution and accepting the solution into production, having verified that the solution meets needs and that migration has been successfully performed.
Responsibilities
- Business Analysis and delivery of business requirements
- To become SME in CaLM business
- Reengineer existing business processes to eliminate inefficiency and operational risk and to support business growth
- Impact analysis of upstream and downstream requirements on CaLM
- Translate new business initiatives from the Clearing businesses into business requirements
- Translation of business requirements into workflow specifications
- Preparation of UAT plans, approach documents and coordination/participation in UAT activities
- Work with the business to update and maintain relevant documentation such as business procedures
- Work to ensure that current issues in CaLM processing are fully addressed
Required skills and experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience
- Recent strong experience in a BA role within Financial Services
- Previous experience within a Clearing House would be a plus
- Understanding of securities settlement flows and Back Office Operations
- Working knowledge of Custody, SWIFT and Euroclear / Clearstream would be a plus
- Experience with Treasury and/or payment systems
- Good understanding of testing methodologies
- Demonstratable structured approach to documenting requirements
- Experience with working with workflow oriented systems largely beneficial
- Experience of business process change
- Experience of working on a large scale transformation programme preferred
- Experience of working in an Agile environment
- Facilitate or lead meetings with appropriate SMEs to drive scope and requirements definition
- Lead Peer Reviews and inspection of requirements

- Practical experience with use of test tools such as HP Quality Centre beneficial
