Business Analyst – Collections MI, Parramatta recruitment
Reporting to the Manager, Back Office Recovery, the Business Analyst in Collections and Recoveries will contribute to the Retail Banking Wealth Management (Cards Non-Cards) business through delivery and design/production of detailed Management Information (MI) and Analytical packs that manage risk.
The incumbent will contribute to Effective MI and Analysis/Reporting across the products: Direct Credit Cards, Retail Alliance Credit Cards, Private label Cards, Mortgages, Personal Auto Loans and Transactional Accounts.
Working closely with the operational areas within the department, this role will provide support on a daily basis to ensure business deadlines and requirements are met.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Design, production maintenance of standard reports on a timely basis;
- Review of existing MI and data packs for efficiency and validation/enhancement
- Undertake business analytics and information production to effectively support the core MI functions ensuring timely and accurate delivery of information;
- Ensure optimal cost-benefit outcomes across the business through process improvement and automation;
- Achieve economies of scale (scalability) by rationalising existing processes with view of rapid growth;
- Ensure information produced is centrally located and easily accessible to appropriate audiences;
- Support the development of clear analytic plans and Champion/Challenger processes;
- Ongoing review of key risk numbers to provide recommendations to operational management on strategic focus and risks;
- Develop key MI packs for management that contain detailed analysis to assist in making strategic decisions.
Skills
To be successful you will need:
- Tertiary qualifications within a Statistical or Mathematical discipline.
- Proven experience with SAS, SQL and VBA programming
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to successfully manage communication with stakeholders across the bank at all levels.
- Understanding of risk based decisioning systems and profiling
- Ability to work autonomously.
