An experienced Business Analyst experienced across front to back office Trading cycle is required for a market leading consultancy to delivery consultancy services within the trading and risk management space for some of the world's premier financial and energy trading institutions. Based in the heart of the City, my client has an enviable reputation for the sophistication and flexibility of their services.
As a senior consultant within the consulting team you will be joining a rapidly growing organisation with experience in the Finance, Banking and Corporate Treasury market. Key to the role as Senior Consultant's will involve utilising their subject matter expertise of commodity trading and risk management, within the key phases of client projects, which include: complex modeling of commodity forward curves; modeling of all types of physical commodity transactions and derivatives; calculation and reporting of risk measures.
Flexibility and European travel is essential for this role. All candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
The ideal candidate for the Middle Office Consultant/ Business Analyst - Trading Commodities, ETRM, will have the following experience (Finance Banking and Corporate Treasury Sector)
The role will include:
* Complex modeling of commodity forward curves
* Modeling of all types of physical commodity transactions and derivatives
* Calculation and reporting of risk measures
* Requirements gathering and managing user requirements workshops and formulation of an overall solution design
* Provide guidance to custom solution developers
* Performing system tests to prove system and infrastructure functionality and performance
* Calculation and reporting of risk measures
* Real Time exposure reporting
* End-of-day Middle Office and risk reporting
The successful candidate will have the following experience:
* Experience of the commodities market - metal, Energy, (Power, gas, Oil
* A willingness and ability to quickly understand unfamiliar topics related to trading, risk management and technology.
* Excellent stakeholder management skills
* Road map definition, scope definition, status reports and status updates
* Strong communication skills
