£excellent market rateLondon Excellent opportunity to join our client’s commodities team helping to build out a rapid growth business line, as well as performing flash Profit and Loss (PL), and controlling the off shore produced PL. THE ROLEKey tasks of the Business Analyst – Credit include:
- Detailed analysis of Risk based PL explain data
- Manage tolerance breaches through to resolution
- Arrange tracking of open items
- Control and Support of PL and Explain submissions
- The role requires active engagement and appreciation of stakeholder groups downstream (IT, Finance). Participation in GBS control calls, and working across groups to ensure controls are in place and remediation of issues as appropriate
- Supporting and building out the performance of their onshore and offshore locations.
- Use of all front end risk management trading systems
- Liaison with Trading, IT Finance Manager / Finance Director Level
THE CANDIDATERequirements for the Business Analyst – Credit include:
- Previous product control or Business Analyst experience.
- The ability to drill down into greek based PL Unexplains and articulate the reason for the break
- Solid understanding of buy and hold and how this interacts with backtesting.
- Advanced MS office skills
- Experience of working on commodities risk management
- The ability to assimilate information quickly and investigate issues promptly through to resolution
- Previous experience of driving change forward and liaison and co-ordination of various functions
- Sustained exposure to liaising internally with IT teams and business users in the context of programme deliverables
- Degree qualified or equivalent
- Highly proficient in Excel
- Highly numerate
- A professional candidate who is self-motivated, enthusiastic and works with minimum supervision
- Excellent communicator, articulate and well presented.
