BUSINESS ANALYST - DATA – FUND MANAGER - LONDON
ROLE OVERVIEW
IT Business Analyst with strong Data experience is required by a leading London-based Fund Manager.
This Business Analyst will join the project teams with the definition, modelling and implementation of the data-related requirements for stakeholders across investment desks, operational teams and other large IT change projects.
Requirements need to be gathered from senior stakeholders in Fixed Income, Equities, Multi-Asset, Compliance and Data Services. Liaison with Business Analysts in other IT projects is required, eg Charles River, Derivatives Platform, Investment Risk etc.
This role will involve the translation of requirements into flexible, strategic functional data design required as pertaining to data warehouses, data masters and data workflow.
There is a very large volume and variety of work ahead for this team and this role will allow the successful candidate to considerably develop their skillset in many ways.
REQUIRED
• Strong Business Analysis experience
• Strong Data experience (Good Data Analysis / Data Modelling experience)
• Fantastic communication skills and stakeholder management skills
• Good SQL skills and ability to analyse data using Excel
• Logical Data Modelling and Physical Data Modelling experience
PREFERRED
• Structured analysis techniques such as UML
• Fund Management experience (if not, then a top tier organisation of some kind, ideally financial services)
• Background in technology useful e.g. development/database design
• Ability to contribute to the BA community regarding the development and deployment of data analysis best practice and methods
• Conceptual Data Modelling experience
