Summary
Reporting into the Head of Sales Managing Director of the Australian office the successful applicant will behave as the interface between the technology group of leading buy sell side clients and the firm's internal development division. Products that will typically be deployed are front office order management systems that interact predominantly with the Sydney Futures Exchange exchanges like CME, Liffe, Eurex and the main APAC derivatives exchanges. A large component of the product needs to focus around middle office, FIX inbound connections and trade allocations/confirmations. Sporadic travel around the APAC region is a possibility.
Responsibilites
- Perform functional and technical testing of synthetic trading software, to ensure client systems are fit for purpose
- Provide formal handover of systems to client and provide User Acceptance Training (UAT) support
- Recognise and analyse the client issues and/or requirements, understand interfaces to be built
- Document the specifications in details, in a format readable by our development group
- Interact with the technoology team for dates and estimates, prioritise issues and plan releases
- Track the issue resolution and ensure new features are delivered on time
- Produce and maintain clear, detailed training documentation
- Provide on-site user training to buy sell side market participants, to ensure users are sufficiently prepared for live usage
- Support the users on-site during the infancy stages of their product usage
- Exhibit the product, perform, on request, pre-sales demonstrations
Qualifications Prerequisites
- Bachelor's Degree in Maths, Economics, Computer Science, Statistics or Engineering
- 4-6 years Business Analyst experience in exchange listed derivatives with a trading software vendor or Investment Bank (front or middle office) is preferable
- Experience supporting front office technology orientated roles
- Experience with Equity (Options Futures) Credit derivatives in the Australian market is also of interest
- The role may suit someone who has implementation experience of an equity derivatives trading system
- Confident articulate when communicating with buy sell side market participants and the the in house technology team
- Excellent documentation and analytical skills, can transition specifications to development
- Enthusiastic and energetic acting as a product champion to internal external audiences.
Compensation
- Salary range is between AUS$90,000-110,000 plus Superannuation
