Business Analyst Equity Middle Office Jobs, UK

The selected candidate will join the Equity middle office Change team on to focus on a front to back global program across the investment bank. The program is regulatory driven and is high priority for the investment bank. The Equity middle office team is required to review and change the booking flows including intercompanies from trade initiation and all life cycle events. Candidates will work closely with operations functions which will form an integrated part of this programme. The team covers all Equity product type.

Key responsibilities:
• Review and document current process flows
• Investigate and document change required
o Write Business Requirement Documents and obtain sign off from all stake holders
o Design solutions with IT and RTB
o Participate in Agile workshop with IT
• Design and document migration plans
o Document migration scenario in agreement with IT and RTB
o Document emergency migration reversal plan
o Build reusable migration and reverse migration tools with IT
• Design and document test plans
o Test scenario (both positive and negative testing)
o Traded by trade Test script for each scenario including expected result
• Capture, organise and monitor workload
o Ensure all tasks to complete are captured, acted upon and completed by each owner.
o Identify and escalate any potential roadblock or delays
o Communicate regularly progress status to all stake holders
• Perform regular development delivery quality assurance
o Agree schedule of QA milestones with IT
o Perform QA tests and report results
o Ensure issues are identified, tracked, reported on and resolved in a timely manner
• Assist RTB during UAT
o Organise UAT with RTB and IT
o Actively participate to the UAT by assisting any user in difficulty
o Collate and communicate results of UAT to all stake holders
• Assist RTB during migrations
o Organise migrations with RTB and IT
o Actively participate to the migration by assisting any user in difficulty
o Collate and communicate results of migration to all stake holders
• Assist RTB post migration
o Identify any issues which may result from migration errors in production
o Clean up any issues which may result from migration errors in productionClean up
o Organise and perform emergency reversal if relevant.

Basic Requirements:
• Ideally educated to Degree level
• Good Understanding of products and F2B processes in OTC Equity Derivatives, Cash Equities and Prime Brokerage.
• Good knowledge of the purpose of Equity businesses
• Good communication skills. Requires contact with both Senior and Junior staff across many area of the investment bank
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint Project Visio.
• Ability to work within an Agile as well as in a Waterfall build environment
• Ability to prioritize and schedule workload
• Ability to organise own work and manage time effectively
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to multitask
• Strong ability to resolve problems
• Strong analytical abilities
