JOB DESCRIPTIO? : IT Business Analyst
GENERAL FUNCTION
Reporting to the IT Director, the IT Business Analyst will provide support to all users of the main
business systems across all sites.The IT Business Analyst will be in charge of designing (if
necessary), implementing, reviewing and improving systems and processes to enable other
departments to support more effectively the businesses.

RESPONSIBILITIES
1. As Company Systems Expert, train and support all users in the teams across Europe for
maximum efficiency
2. Implement and follow-up of company-approved systems evolutions based on the priorities set by
the managers
3. Give technical support to business leaders: analysis, training, technical support
4. Be a project leader for systems related projects across Europe (i.e. Euro conversion, automating
vendor's payments,
5. Carry out other special assignments under the direction of his managers
6. Act as a primary liaison officer with the IT department to ensure that the priorities set are
followed
7. Monitor and report progress on projects
8. Liaise with other regions to ensure that best practice is followed in Europe
9. Provide primary business system support on the ERP system for users in all European sites.

transfers or EDI or... …
11. Provide support to the European Applications Manager through any tasks allocated to you.
12. Specify, design, test and implement strategic enhancements to software applications (or new
software) to provide more efficient, timely and accurate information to users and as required by
management.
13. Strive to maintain standardization within company systems in use, data and methodology.
Assure that published IT standards are followed in all automated processes.
14. Maintain a good working knowledge of the automated systems and the business functions
supported
15. Insure that appropriate documentation is provided for any new or modified applications.
16. Coordinate changes, enhancements, and new application implementations with the users
involved, and with other relevant IT-members
17. Perform such duties and tasks, and attend or lead such meetings from time to time as directed
by the European Applications Manager, or as opportunity presents.
18. Continually apprise the European ERP Business Analyst Manager of matters of importance in the
incumbents area of responsibility that will impact on the business or which are necessary to
meet stated objectives.
19. Insure that all business activities are conducted in such a manner to meet legal and statutory
requirements as well as good ethical and moral standards.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS
A. KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
· Min. Bachelor's degree (A1) in Computer Science or related field
· Experience and knowledge of systems development, project management, methodologies and
techniques
· Good understanding of function and workflow requirements is a must.
· Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) and at least one other European language
· PC literate: thorough knowledge of PC and network and standard packages used under Windows
· Also, the position requires good knowledge of RPG/400, SQL, CL, in the AS/400 environment, to
enable problem rectification and technical documentation.
· Good knowledge of an ERP package is also required.
· Knowledge of Business Intelligence tool - Cognos Powerplay tools is desirable.
· Good knowledge of EDI principles and use of an EDI package such as "Trusted Link" (Harbinger)

Experience :
. 2-4 years working for an International company within the IT department, preferably in a
Marketing/distribution environment, though any Manufacturing knowledge is also very relevant.
. Experience on AS400 and 2 - 4 years of RPG programming experience is a plus.
. 2-4 years experience of working with a fully integrated ERP package and with EDI interfacing.
