Corporate Operations Group (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The primary purpose of COG is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient, scalable operating model. This is evident across the activities of each of the divisions which comprises of Business Improvement and Strategy Division (BIS), Business Services Division (BSD), COG Business Management, Human Resources Division (HR), Market Operations, Operational Risk Strategy and Support, Shared Services and Technology.

Market Operations Division (MOD) forms part of the Corporate Operations Group, whose aims are to help Macquarie's businesses by supporting revenue growth and cross group collaboration and to drive operational excellence by reducing operating costs and transforming end to end processes.
Market Operations has over 600 staff with a presence in international locations including Sydney, Singapore, Seoul, Hong Kong, Japan, London, New York and Houston.
Change is a part of life at Macquarie and the MOD Projects Team are responsible for supporting and leading change across the Market Operational Division. The MOD Projects team is looking for an individual to help drive process improvement and manage change.
Business Analyst, Executive/Manager, Houston Market Operations Division
Key Responsibilities
- Interface with the MOD teams and other stakeholders to gather requirements, complete functional analysis, design of end-to-end business processes and write business requirements
- Work with MOD teams to identify, analyse, prioritise and implement business process improvements; track benefits realised
- Drive the testing and issue identification aspects of any initiative
- Assist in project planning and project estimation
- Identify and escalate issues, provide pragmatic solutions
- Support the business to adapt to business process or technical infrastructure change
- Communicate effectively within and between teams to promote knowledge sharing
- Ensure adherence to standards and policies used by MOD during periods of change
Key Skills and Experience
Qualifications and Background:
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in Financial Services or Energy sector, preferably in a Projects / Change Management role
- A background in the full lifecycle of business analysis activities including process mapping, scope definition, requirements elicitation and definition, data mapping, testing, implementation, and user training
- Relevant post graduate qualifications desirable
- Involvement in working with different geographical locations would be considered an advantage
Interpersonal Skills:
- Enthusiastic, confident, confident and professional approach
- Good written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Builds productive relationships with stakeholders and colleagues
- Experience working in different cultural environments
Technical Specialist Skills:
- Exposure to workflow technologies
- Ability to independently analyse complex processes / issues
- Strong problem solving and gap analysis skills, excellent eye for detail
- Demonstrate an understanding and adherence to enterprise risk management principles and technical standards
- Be confident in learning new financial products, businesses, and operational processes
Planning Organizing:
- Ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing deadlines
- Ability to proactively navigate conflict and changing priorities
- Ability to manage/execute tasks within set timeframes
- Flexibility to adapt to different project methodologies
Leadership Skills:
- Ability to exercise initiative and be able to follow through on issues with minimal supervision
- Be self-motivated to achieve business outcomes through collaboration
