Business Analyst – Finance, Control & Compliance Practice recruitment
POSITION OVERVIEW
Investance is looking for experienced Business Analysts to join the Finance, Control Compliance Practice in New York. Business Analysts will be expected to deliver projects with a strong emphasis on process implementation and re-engineering within the Finance, Accounting or Product Control divisions of Investment Banks.
- Review, analyze and update the current business requirements and attain validation from all divisions within the Accounting and Finance Group
- Lead the Change Management Process throughout the entire life cycle of the project; provide accounting and finance expertise throughout the project
- Lead in the User Acceptance Testing/assist in module testing/integration efforts
- Interface with business units to validate and gather further requirements as well as manage the Change Management process
- Review and provide expert recommendations to the business requirements as well as negotiate with various departments to ensure that all parties are in agreement
- Conduct daily status meeting with various members of the Project Management Team to ensure the timely delivery of the project
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
- 5-10 years of relevant experience with a consulting or financial services
- Familiarity with project management and business analysis methodology
- Knowledge of Finance, Control Compliance topics including: Accounting treatments of financial products, G/L systems, Production economic and accounting P/L, Management and regulatory reporting processes, control of data quality, design set up of reporting systems
- Knowledge of Capital Markets processes and a wide range of investment products
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and able to communicate complex ideas to all areas of the business – client side and internally

QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS in Finance or Accounting
- Preferably an MBA, CPA or CA
