Business Analyst, Finance Data Management recruitment
AIG Finance Data Management is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to drive and manage the tactical Enterprise Finance Transformation (EFT) data activities and needs associated with upcoming EFT project releases. The Senior Business Analyst will coordinate project activities and cadence, working closely with the Head of Finance Data Management, the Project Manager of the finance MDM tool implementation project, as well as leads from other finance transformation projects on these tactical requirements.
The Senior Business Analyst will handle preparation, maintenance and communication of a project related activities and coordinate the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants, providing oversight and monitoring of activities in order to complete deliverables.
Responsibilities
* In collaboration with management and vested stakeholders, define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business objectives
* Develop and monitor detail project plan and milestones
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel
* Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team
* Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path items
* Develop and deliver progress (PMO) reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations
* Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
* Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
* Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management
* Timely and effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders
* Liaise with project stakeholders and management on an ongoing basis
* Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
* Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle
* Coordinate resource planning relative to project goals and resource availabilities
* Draft and submit budget proposals, and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary
* Liaise with Enterprise Finance Transformation in such capacities
* Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas
* Conduct project release post mortems and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements for future lessons learned.
Position Requirements
* BS/BA Degree strongly preferred
* Minimum 7-10 years + experience of project implementations
* Data Management/ Master Data Management experience and related project management
* High level of interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to work in highly pressurized environment with tight deadlines
* Self motivated, confident with excellent organizational and analytical problem solving skills with strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated experience in project and personnel management and experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
* Proven ability to conform to and proactively manage shifting priorities, demands and timelines
* Strong familiarity with project management software, such as MS Project and MS Visio
* Strong written and oral communication skills.
* Technically competent with various software programs in the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook)
* Experience with enterprise or finance transformations
* Some limited travel may be required for the purpose of meeting with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management.
