Business Analyst- Finance Transformation- Life Insurance recruitment

My client, a leading Financial Services institution, is entering Phase 2 of a critical global Finance Transformation program brought about by the separation of two of the organisation’s core businesses. High level requirements have now been defined and the project is moving towards the implementation of a new General Ledger. This will affect all divisions within Finance and there is therefore a need for an exceptional Business Analyst with in depth experience of Business Process Re-Design and Change  within Finance to join the project. It is essential that the appropriate candidate understands Finance (Accounts Payable, Cash Operations etc) preferably within the Life Insurance sector and most importantly has the gravitas to build relationships with users and stakeholders to influence and drive Business Process change. It is also essential that you understand the impact of US GAAP within the Life Insurance sector. Given the nature of the role, being a Qualified Accountant would also be highly beneficial. To be successful in this role you will need:

• Proven background as a Senior Business Analyst gained in a critical Finance Transformation project within the Financial Services sector- ideally within Life Insurance

• Strong overall understanding of Finance functions and processes (A/P, Cash Operations, Financial Reports etc)

• Solid background in Accounting- preferably Qualified Accountant and expertise in US GAAP

• Detailed Business Process Re-Design skills- Process Mapping, Documentation, Future State Process Flows

• Gravitas- the ability to drive and influence Business Process Change within Finance

• Appreciation of Oracle GL

• Background in Life Insurance highly beneficial
