Business Analyst – Financial control (London) recruitment
This Top Tier Investment Bank is looking for a Business Analyst to work in their Financial Control Change Management Team, which supports Finance in achieving it's objectives by facilitating improvements to processes and systems. The team is responsible for managing the controlled roll-out of systems as well as process improvement and design, in order to meet control, efficiency and cost objectives of the Bank.
The role will support the roll out of an external vendor product to the Private Equity Finance Team. The primary objectives of the Business Analyst will be to establish an effective risk based plan to configure and implement the product and to ensure business requirements are captured adequately. You will also communicate between the stakeholders and the external vendor, and make sure the development of the system I performed on an agile basis.
Responsibilities:
- Effective planning and risk management
- Complete business process analysis tasks and prepare documentation to a high standard.
- Work with external vendor to ensure all business requirement is clarified and build to requirements
- Ensure accounting rules are set up in a simple, efficient and scalable manner. Apply agile approach to ensure the rules are correct.
- Work with the Finance team to redesign data upload templates for data migration
- Ensure testing is completed on a timely and effective basis.
- Ensure data migration is completed on a timely manner
- Communicate and escalate issues as required
Essential Skills:
- Experience of working effectively with a large Global finance organisation, operating with various functions.
- Experience of implementing sub ledger or accounting modules of systems
- Thorough understanding of business events and accounting entries
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to take ownership and responsibility, proactively managing work through to completion, within deadlines. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Prior knowledge / experience of Finance line roles
- Investment banking change management experience
