Business Analyst – Financial Control Technology recruitment
Duties
The main function of this position is to provide Technical Analysis for the Asia-Pacific Financial Control Application Development team. The role will cover technical analysis functions across Regulatory Reporting, Finance Control and Data warehousing projects.The candidate will be responsible for analyzing business requirements to produce functional specifications and helping the developers throughout the SDLC phases. The candidate will be responsible for validating all the IT deliverables to ensure conformance to requirements and standards.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in workshops/discussions to help business to define the business requirements.
- Review business requirements docs and provide timely feedback to business.
- Data analysis - understand the data attributes available in data warehouse and guide the developers in using these attributes for reporting.
- Develop functional specification documents based on the business analysis. This document will be used by developers to do the coding.
- Answer user questions/queries throughout all project phases.
- UAT support: Technologies main point of contact for users during the UAT phase: Analyse the cause of any defects and work with business and developers to resolve issues.
- Provide user support during post go-live period.
Application areas to cover:
- Reporting across Regulatory Reporting, Financial Control and Data warehousing
Participate in the following management reviews:
- Project Review: Review the progress of the project against plan.
Provide proactive involvement with:
- Improving the Investment Banking capability within the team through coaching, mentoring and training.
Deliverables:
- Business Requirements Doc: work with Business to finalize the business requirements.
- Functional Specification Doc: Develop Functional Specification Document. This document will be used by developers to do the coding.
- Test cases for internal IT testing - where applicable
Experience required:
- A minimum of 3-5 Years technical analysis experience in banking environment, with appreciation of general banking products

- Ability to carry out in depth data Analysis
- Ability to communicate issues and resolutions to business users development teams
- In depth knowledge of and proven track record in Investment Banking domain preferred.
Technical:
- Strong data analysis skills
- Hands-on experience in querying the internal application databases.
- Proven experience in all phases of development life cycle.
- Working knowledge of Oracle database?preferred.
Communication Global Team:
- Must have good track record of communicating effectively with both business and IT staff at all levels.
