Business Analyst – Front to Back Trade Processing recruitment
The deliverable for the next 12 months is to achieve the efficient and controlled migration of trading books to their strategic platform as defined by the target operating model.
• Systems and process GAP analysis of current Vs future state
• Assisting the project manager with development, UAT and migration planning and execution
• Accountability for project delivery within formalised project process
• Developing and executing project work plans, communicating achievements and issues to the project manager as appropriate to meet changing business needs and requirements while taking into consideration resource constraints and project deadlines
• Owning and assisting with User Acceptance Testing using pre-determined test pack
• Guiding the SME stakeholders through operational change and supporting any interim process activities as required due to phased migration
• Assisting affected users with book migration reconciliations and ownership of any related and subsequent issue resolution with a view of wider implications to stakeholders both up and downstream
Candidate requirements
You will have:
• Working knowledge of the Product Control function, controls performed and understanding of ‘front to back’ trade processing
• Knowledge of static and market data attributes and processes
• Experience of documenting processes using Visio
• Knowledge of investment banking products such as FX, MM, Bonds, Repo, Equity, Options and their associated PnL and risk calculation including risk based approaches
• Experience of effecting and managing UAT within a banking environment including configuring the target system in UAT and live
• Business Analyst experience working on global projects that result in process improvement
• Experience of system migrations
You will be:
• Accountancy qualified.
• Able to think critically, analyse workflows and data and present information in at a level expected for senior management consumption
• Able to do deep dives on system configuration and data issues to solve problems alone and with confidence
• Able to utilise in a proficient manner Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
• Able to self-initiate, work productively when unsupervised and multitask across multiple concurrent projects/workstreams
• Able to prioritise tasks, work within deadlines, taking a pragmatic and considered approach, paying close attention to detail.
• Able to define and manage UAT including subsequent rectification of test issues to achieve user sign off
