Business Analyst – Group Data Program recruitment

Data is a critical enabler to the various business and logistics functions across the Bank, providing a central source of high quality reference data (including Client, Account, SSI, Instrument, Issuer, Pricing, Calendars) to those functions. Following a Group Executive decision, a Group Data Program was established which combined previously separate Data and Technology groups. A program was set up Enterprise Client Data Program (ECDP) with the mandate to provide a single source of Client data across the Bank.
Within ECDP, the Business Solutions team is responsible for delivery of IT solutions for client reference data producers and consumers across the board.

As a Business Analyst, you will work within the Enterprise Client Data Program (ECDP) which is GEB sponsored Program within the Group wide CDO function.

Main responsibilities will be:
• Undertaking business analysis across the entire transformation chain from the business requirement to the implementation of the IT solution
• Developing conceptual designs and writing business requirements and business specifications
• Support IT colleagues during implementation
• Demonstrable experience of product testing and subsequent sign-off of the solution.

Requirements 
The applicant should be used to working independently, under time pressure, and feel committed to delivering even under difficult circumstances. We appreciate a self-starting, performance driven personality who can take a portfolio of tasks, prioritise flexibly within given guidelines, and deliver within quality, deadline and budget as a small entrepreneur

• Ideally University graduates (economics / finance), coupled with risk/finance practice, strong business analysis background.
• Strong analytical skills, proven track record in business requirements analysis and specification writing for projects in a financial industry / banking / risk/finance environment.
• Project management skills in a financial industry / banking / risk/finance environment are a valued asset.
• Strong data management background
• Business process management background
• Ability to work in an environment with complex banking background requiring an equally complex solution,
• Ability to co-ordinate diverse client, user and IT teams, also across Divisions, to achieve deliverables agreed upon within set deadlines.
• Our prime language is English; German is an asset but not a must
