Business Analyst – Information Technology recruitment
Responsibilities:
The Business Analyst, Information Technology is responsible for the following:
- Recognize business needs and gather business requirements for projects and work through any information conflicts.
- Assist with end-user requests/inquiries and testing of new functionality for internally built Order Management System (OMS).
- Analyze business groups’ requirements to apply available technology solutions to benefit business processes.
- Provide assistance in managing of data across multiple applications and platforms, create data reconciliation procedures.
- Support Portfolio Asset Management (PAM) for Securities Investment Accounting System.
- Liaise between business groups (operations, investment management and investment accounting) to ensure PAM data integrity and accuracy.
- Responsible for coordinating testing efforts for functionality and regulatory fixes as well as annual upgrades of PAM across business and technology units.
- Build SQL queries against core PAM database tables to facilitate various inquiries. Support in-house interfaces and extracts out of PAM, automate PAM related processes.
- Understand cash, income, factors and adjustable rates when applied to current holdings, troubleshoot any discrepancies and correct issues.
- Work within a group of technology individuals to support various third party and internally developed applications in several offices.
- Translate business analysis into technology requirements. Work with application developers to create new solutions.
- Obtain detailed knowledge of investment and asset management processes and strategies; seek relevant technology products to introduce to investment personnel and providing expertise in automating processes.
- Participate in Data Stewardship capacity with Eagle Investment Systems Performance and Data Warehouse system; monitor data file loads, troubleshoot load errors, research and resolve security resolution issues.
- Generate performance and financial reports via Eagle Pace client; assist in developing Eagle Portal reporting structure.
Requirements:
- 4-5 years of relevant experience working with portfolio accounting and order management systems (i.e. PAM).
- Must possess a thorough understanding of complete trade order processing, from trade origination to settlement.
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- SQL experience is necessary.
