Business Analyst, IT, Data, SQL, ETL, Investment Bank
Business analyst required to work within the Finance IT team of a leading investment bank, specifically focussing on IT Regulatory Systems. The role will be focussed on the creation of a Risk Finance data warehouse for the bank required to support daily balance sheet management and liquidity reporting. Therefore you must has a strong background in delivering data projects as well as being hands on with data analysis; SQL reporting, determining data processing and ETL related requirements.
You will be responsible for high quality functional specifications and test scenarios based off of finance business requirements as well as conducting data analysis to support functional requirements. This is required for the development of the bank’s bespoke built data warehouse system. You need to have strong experience in working within Data environments as data analysis will be a key part of this role.
Essential:
- Experienced Business Analyst on a large scale technology project
- Experience defining data transformation / ETL processes.
- Technical experience - ability to query large databases using SQL
- Confident communicator able to work with business users to understand, challenge and prioritise requirements
- Write specifications describing functional requirements for development team
- Database modelling, design and knowledge of database object type ability to assemble a simple database
