Business Analyst IV

As a Business Analyst IV in the Financial Services Advisory Banking ("FSAB") group you will be a member of PNC's Corporate Institutional Banking organization. As one of the nation's largest and most diversified financial services organizations, Corporate Institutional Banking offers a comprehensive array of products and services - financing, treasury management, capital markets, international banking services, MA advisory services, and more - to corporate and institutional clients of all sizes and industries.

The FSAB is comprised of PNC's Asset Backed Finance business and three Corporate Banking client coverage teams: Asset Managers and Broker/Dealers, Insurance Companies, and Leasing Finance Companies.

The Business Analyst will be responsible for day to day aspects of regulatory-related projects for the Securitizations asset classes working closely with Securitization Owner and Leads to provide a point of contact and ownership for those projects.  Takes projects from original concept through completion.  Develops detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, and status reports.  Conducts project meetings and is responsible for project tracking and analysis.  Ensures adherence to quality standards and reviews project deliverables.  Recommends and takes action to direct the analysis and solutions of problems.

The Essential Functions of the Business Analyst will include:

? Regulatory Process Coordination:

o     Coordinate and/or develop detailed understanding and documentation of all end to end Securitization processes including origination, credit approval, collateral monitoring, risk-based modeling, capital reporting, associated process controls, etc.

o     Identify and recommend improvement opportunities. Work with process enhancements to ensure Basel II compliance.

? Project Management:

o     Lead issue resolution, process enhancements, and regulation impact analysis.

o     Coordinate resources to lead to process changes/enhancements including:

-   Analysis and design of objectives; creating a work plan according to the objectives; and assessing and controlling risk.  Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.  Define project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.

-   Assigning tasks, directing activities and controlling project execution.  Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.  Build, develop, and grow business and technology relationships vital to the success of the project.

-   Tracking and reporting progress, analyzing results, and forecasting future trends in the project.  Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.

-   Effectively communicating project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.  Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.  Identifying, managing and controlling changes, project closure (and project debrief), and communicating to stakeholders.

 

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

o A Bachelors Degree is required in related discipline; Business/Finance, Engineering/Math, Operations

o A minimum of   7  years of related experience is required

o A Master's Degree with 4-7 years related experience is preferred

o     3 years of project management experience preferred and knowledge of Basel II compliance and securitization product is helpful.

o     Ability to elicit cooperation from multiple sources, including management, regulators, and various lines of business.

o     Highly organized with excellent analytical, communication and project leadership skills.

o     Self-motivated with a desire to take part in and lead change.

o     Understands business function, including technology with the ability to apply that knowledge at a strategic level.

o     Effective problem solving, presentation and coaching skills.

o     Advanced computer skills: PowerPoint and Excel.
