-- Business Analyst-- JIB Description Primary Duties and Responsibilities: This Business Analyst role will be in support of JIB Accounting from an application and business process perspective. Specifically focusing on joint venture accounting/ tracking/ calulating/ allocating direct and indirect costs, generating invoices and analyzing operating costs. Responsible to effectively translate and communicate business needs to IT staff. Conducts analysis of business and user needs by gathering requirements through observation, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources. Have detailed knowledge and be able to provide support in the areas of Revenue, JIB, GL, Financial Reporting and Tax Competent to work at the highest technical level of most phases of systems analysis while considering the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment. Develop, implement and maintain documentation of program development. Revise existing system logic difficulties to serve new purposes or improve work flow. Leads team in systems development, both from an application and business process perspective. Interview or survey workers, observe job performance or perform the job to determine what information is processed and how it is processed. Conduct trial runs of programs utilizing approved testing procedures to ensure they produce the desired integration results. Facilitate user acceptance testing. Write instructions and manuals following documentation standards to guide end users. Facilitate process and data mapping sessions. Report status, issues, and timelines to management staff and project teams. Lead team in problem resolution, evaluation and implementation of solutions. Forge strong relationships within core Chesapeake business units.
