We are seeking a Business Analyst to support the Packaging Segment Supply Chain and Marine Logistics groups at our Atlanta, Georgia headquarters.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Provide the team with accurate and timely analysis to help optimize the supply chain and to drive process improvements.
- Prepare monthly and quarterly business reports (freight/rate database, actual performance, key metrics, initiatives and other reports as required) for business leaders in the packaging segment. Develop PowerPoint presentations for leadership.
- Own the validation of results to ensure data quality, accuracy and integrity.
- Develop tools to better acquire and analyze data and to automate processes.
- Ability to work collaboratively with commercial business teams and operations (production planning, shipping department, trucking companies) to identify, value, and prioritize opportunities.
- Handle multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
- Facilitate logistics issue resolution as needed (locate equipment/space in emergency situations, rate quotes, etc.) by working with logistics team members.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (Engineering, Mathematics, Supply Chain, Business or Finance preferred).
- A minimum of 2 years of analytical experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Word document creation, PowerPoint presentations, and advanced Excel functions, which include working with Pivot tables, VLookups, Array formulas and large amounts of data.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain analysis (logistics, transportation or customer service).
- Work experience in marine, truck or rail logistics.
- Experience in the pulp, paper or packaging industry.
