Behavioral Health Group is currently seeking a Business Analyst to assist in the development and implementation of their Substance Abuse Medication Management System (SAMMS).
This individual will assist the project management team in identifying strategies that define BHG’s Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program and create new best practices.
The first assignment will be identifying strategies that define BHG’s Methadone Maintenance Treatment Program and create new best practices. They will be expected to work in a self-directed, cross-functional, goal-oriented environment writing business, functional, stakeholder, quality of services, and implementation requirements. In addition, they will assist in the QA/QC process to uncover and document defects, coordinate testing and interact with technical developers and architects in regards to business requirements in support of current initiatives and upgrades. They will also work indirectly with the Training and Development Team to improve processes and maximize knowledge transfer of new development, serving as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the project management team. Requirements:
· BA/BS Degree in IS, Finance, Accounting or other business related field
· 2 + years prior Business Analyst experience gathering and writing detailed business and functional requirements for BI applications and projects
· Strong experience with reporting, documentation and organization skills
· Strong analytical and product management skills
· Experience with MS tools such as SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint and Info-Path
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
· Ability to interact professionally with diverse groups, executives, managers, and subject matter experts.

· Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously
· Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
· Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.
· Under direction of project managers drive and challenge business units on their assumptions of how they will successfully execute their plans
· Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.
· Develop functional mock ups (Business Requirements Document), create use cases, scenarios, GUI, Screen, Interface and report designs
· Develop requirements specifications with an understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements using standard templates and natural language.
· Convert detailed business rules into system requirements
