Business Analyst Job in New York County, New York Us
Chartis has an opportunity for a Business Analyst to support Chartis North American operations management in the areas of business analysis and financial reporting, The business analyst will also participate in assigned projects to analyze business information and processes, make recommendations for operational improvement, estimate project costs and benefits, and assist project managers in project execution. The business analyst will also assist finance with the annual budget process, monthly financial reporting, and benefits tracking/realization.
Performance objectives in this position are as follows:
*Analyze business flow and reports to make recommendations to management for improvements.
*Assist in financial and operational reporting
* Support projects and project managers from an analytic perspective.
* Assist in the reconciliation of multiple business dimensions and articulate the drivers of the differences.
* Works with business unit to address opportunities for improvements in processes and mitigate issues as they arise between business units through research and analysis.
* Assist in ad hoc financial and operational reporting.
* Assist in development cost benefit analyses, benefit tracking, and benefit realization.
Position Requirements:
* One to two years of experience
* Bachelor's degree required (Business majors preferred).
* Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
* Ability to multi-task and work well under pressure.
* Ability to research, retrieve, and organize data and to prepare reports and financial documentation.
* Strong attention to detail.
* Expert skills in Microsoft Office tools: Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
* Proficient knowledge of financial software applications. SAP and Cognos preferred.
