Business Analyst Job in Stirling, Scotland Uk
Our client is looking for a Business Analyst (with project planning skills) to join their team in Stirling on a 4 month contract.
Project Summary
Each year the Information Management Strategy Group reviews the Information Strategy and proposes a prioritised set of projects to be pursued. There is an opportunity to make a start on scoping and delivery of pre-requisite components for a multi-year e-records project. This is a medium size project and requires its own dedicated project manager and business analyst as a core team.
The delivery of the project will progress in its ambition to become a more paperless operation and in particular ensure that the move of the registry to the new central facility in 2013 is done without the planning of accommodation to hold paper reference.
The project will deliver a comprehensive electronic records and document management system in stages covering the automated capturing, classifying, storing, linking, displaying, securing, destroying and archiving of records.
Some work has been performed to date through the use of a third party system for some document sets, a partial metadata base, a preliminary file plan, and a generic reporting system.
The project will consist of a number of main areas of development:
Development of a detailed file plan and structure
Development of a total metadata base
Detailed requirements for the Electronic Document Records Management System (EDRMS) Software, including means of scanning documents and their upload, hardware and licensing
Options analysis for the selection of the system software (Serengeti in the short term) for the medium to long term together with the benefits analysis for the extent to which the solution will be implemented (business case)
Definition of the governance and business roles and responsibilities to keep the file plan, metadata, and associated e-records systems administered and up to date post project
Collaboration with other project managers to ensure that the total metadata is defined and aligned with the metadata for LIFE+
