Business Analyst – Liquidity and Funding IT recruitment
Operational Cash Ladder (OCL) is the primary Operational Liquidity and Funding risk management tool for Group Treasury and the Short Term Interest Rates (STIR) trading desk.
The OCL project team is fairly unique in that Business Analysts and IT developers sit and work closely together, and as a result the role requires an individual, who is comfortable working closely with IT and open to learning IT development processes.
As the successful candidate you will be working under the direction of the existing Business Analyst team on Change the Bank (CTB) type activities – see responsibilities below for details. There may also be a requirement to help with RTB (Run the Bank) queries from key trading and Group Treasury users to ensure their queries are resolved as quickly as possible and that OCL is running smoothly on a daily basis.
Key Role Responsibilities Include:
- Full understanding of OCL processes, business drivers and remit and UBS’s Liquidity system landscape
- Working closely with the OCL Test Manager in ensuring regression testing activities are completed prior to each release
- Involved in testing new features being developed for future OCL releases
- Responsible for conducting analysis for new feature development on an ad hoc basis based on business priorities
- Assisting Group Treasury and STIR Trading with RTB support queries
- Responsible for ensuring OCL is functioning smoothly in conjunction with OCL IT
Required Skills Include:
- Proven ability as a business analyst having worked on other delivery projects
- Proactive problem and task management with willingness to take ownership
- Proven ability to work under pressure and keep calm
- Strong communication skills and confidence to hold conversations with senior management.
- Strong Excel skills
Preferred Skills:
- Investment banking experience from a Finance/Reporting background
- Exposure to Treasury or Liquidity processes
- Knowledge and prior exposure to enterprise financial accounting, control, and reporting systems
- Experience working on development teams using Agile Development Methodology techniques
- Experience with MS Access, MS Visio and MS Word
