Business Analyst (MI reporting) recruitment
I am delighted to be recruiting for a Global bank based in London for a key role within their group management reporting team. You will work with varying internal, external stakeholders in what is a critical role as the vital link in the business with all its shareholders and regulators. It is an area of the business which is well known for its extremely good reputation and it is important that these high standards are maintained. Joining a high profile team, with frequent exposure to the Group Chief Accounting Officer and Group Finance Director, this team is responsible for commentary and analysis in the monthly reporting to the Group Management Board, the quarterly group board reports, the annual operating plans, as well as he "management discussion and analysis" commentary in the external Annual and Interim Management statements. The team liaises closely with the regional and global business finance functions to develop an in depth understanding of developments within their particular focus area, and to investigate and understand variances to enable informed commentary writing. The team also works closely with the Group Strategy function. This is a fantastic opportunity that requires a qualified accountant with first time passes with post qualified experience in an MI/FPA. Strong academics are a must as is a combination of analytical skills, plus presence / gravitas. Candidates must have experience of revenue, not cost based (i.e not finance partner for internal costs). Candidates must also be able to demonstrate the ability to expand upon MI and be involved in the business/decision making/relationship side. This role is not focused around the reporting, but around the commentary and being able to 'tell the story'. Strong commentary writing coupled with excellent communication skills are an absolute must.
