The Role
To work with colleagues and clients/users to identify, capture and review business process and technology requirements as a basis for improving the operating efficiency of the organisation, providing new services to clients/users and supporting change initiatives including TOPS.
To provide support for tasks and activities associated with business process and technology enhancements within the context of business analysis. Ensures business needs are clear to technology partners and that technical capability is clear to the business.
Your Profile
To provide business analyst services as part of change initiative programmes.
• As directed provide business analyst services for STMS process change across all areas
• As directed provide business analyst services to support TOPS work stream and programme initiatives.
• Provide business analyst support to the Director of Change Management and IT Relations as required.
• Document business functions, processes and information flows across the business as needed.
• Work with the project initiator, project manager and technical partners to clearly define the nature and extent of the project.
• Research and document the background to potential pieces of work in order to clarify the context and to establish a basis on which to progress.
• Liaise with nominated business contacts to undertake workflow analysis in order to understand the context and domain surrounding technology work.
• Document the resulting business functions, processes and information flows to the defined standard, reviewing them for accuracy with the relevant business users.
• Work with business users to identify business requirements in line with the scope of the work.
• Rationalise, structure and document the business requirements to the defined standard.
• Derive detailed requirements from the business requirements.
• Model, rationalise, structure and document the detailed requirements to the defined standard.
• Trace from the business requirements to the scope; from the detailed requirements to the business requirements and to delivery in order to ensure all requirements have been met.
• Review the requirements with the business and support them through inspection and approval.
• In association with other members of the project team assist with the identification and review of possible software solutions, technology solutions and business process change solutions.
• Liaise with nominated business contacts and systems analysts and other technical project team members as necessary during the implementation phase.
• Provide a reference point for requirements-related queries through the design, code, test and implementation phases of the project.
Excellent communication skills, proactive, self starter and ability to converse with top management.
