BUSINESS ANALYST , PERFORMANCE recruitment
The Senior Business Analyst will form part of a team tasked with supporting and implementing improvements to the B-One system and supporting the successful migrating of their clients onto the new system. The successful candidate will be involved in key project initiatives including migration projects, providing support for an operating platform compatible with providing a True Daily service to new and existing clients and further development of existing Datamart to incorporate performance returns and attribution data along with classifications, valuations and transactions.
Core Responsibilities:
- Responsible for imparting subject matter expertise in the functional areas of Performance Data Management and Market Data along with strong analysis skills through the various stages of the project life cycle.
- Participating or may lead certain aspects throughout the project lifecycle from requirements gathering though to post implementation support activities and will be expected to prepare formal documentation to agreed standards.
- Involvement in solutions design including process, service delivery design and implementation where necessary.
- Creating Process Workflow design diagrams, production of business specifications, development/execution of detailed test plans, training documents and user procedures documents.
- Regular interaction with business users, subject matter experts as well as IT analysts as well as external clients including vendors project resources.
- Participating in Workstream Working Groups and team meetings and will provide Business Level Task progress updates and supporting documentation.
- The role is based in Edinburgh but some travel, primarily to London must be anticipated.
Core Skills:
- Sound performance measurement experience gained within the investment sector.
- Sound analytical and problem solving skills.
- Strong interaction and communication skills.
- MS Project, Visio.
Core Requirements:
- 5 years experience or more in an Financial Services or Asset management environment.
- Experience of process mapping.
- 3 years Performance Measurement and Attribution experience, with a track record of either having implemented a performance measurement system or have supported it’s use either in the business or IT.
- Relevant previous reference data processing experience with a Global Asset Management provider.
- Understanding of market data provision.
