Business Analyst (PMO)
AGS on behalf of RBS represents contract and temporary opportunities for RBS MIB (Markets and International Banking). We have an outstanding contract opportunity for a Business Analyst with PMO to make their mark with one of the world's largest international banking and financial services companies. In the role of a Business Analyst, you will play an integral role in helping our client deliver market leading services that set it apart from its competitors.
- Support the Head of Operations Portfolio PMO in providing effective communications to executive stakeholders
- Support the Head of Operations Portfolio PMO in running the Operations Programme and addressing and challenges or opportunities that arise
- Assist the Head of Operations Portfolio PMO in defining and implementing a Target Operating Model for PMO in Operations Technology
- Define, implement and manage governance strategies to ensure the Operations Technology Portfolio adhere to current bank standards and compliance with local policies
- Define, implement and manage consistent methodologies and strategies to support the Operations Technology Portfolio, ensuring effective management of projects and deliveries within agreed constraints
- Provide a central hub of information (inc project financials, Change the Bank progress) and resources to both the Portfolio and external stakeholders
- Establish and maintain operations, controls, risk assessments and assurance programmes, monitoring of risk and controls to identify, assess and manage any material risks which may arise. Assess the quality of the control environment through regular reviews.
- Ensure projects within the programme are managed to ensure programme activities are accurately planned, tracked and managed according to budgets set by Markets Governance, acting as a quality assurance function on behalf of the programme manager
- An expert level of project lifecycles, tools, techniques and standards
- Ability to define and implement effective but pragmatic solutions in complex environments
- Ability to prioritise and manage high workload with frequent conflicting demands in a changing environment
- Ability to solve complex problems across a broad range of disciplines (functional as well as project-orientated) - understanding the bigger picture and ensure relative priority and perspective is brought to bear
- Financial and Business Management of high value, multi-year programmes of work
- Building a network of contacts and relationships with key and senior stakeholders across the organisation
- Ability to identify risks, issues and opportunities - define and implement strategies to address
- Ability to communicate confidently and effectively (verbal written)
- Self-starter, able to adapt to change with a strong focus on delivery
- Ability to operate effectively in a rapidly evolving environment
- Ability to drive change, invoke best practice and drive motivation
