The Company

Business Analyst / Project Manager - Finance IT, Retail Banking / Commercial Banking

Robert Half Technology is seeking a Business Analyst / Project Manager for a leading commercial and retail bank. As Business Analyst, the BA / PM will need to have the gravitas to face off to the Financial Control team be be able to converse fluently with senior finance stakeholders in relation to balance sheet, PL items and changes required for IFRS as well as future GL/MI systems requirements. This will entail eliciting defining the business's IT and business change requirements. As and when these become full projects, the BA / PM will lead their delivery.

The Role

Key responsibilities:
- Facilitating the gathering of business requirements for definition as well as the specification of functional and non-functional systems requirements from Finance users.
- Estimating work effort required for IT and change projects.
- As when projects arise, tracking delivery against budget and timescales.
- Managing user expectations throughout the project life cycle and influencing through the matrix to ensure resources are in situ for delivery.
- Managing external vendors through the delivery life cycle where utilised e.g. general ledger, MI/BI providers
- Occasional travel to other sites in the UK.

Key requirements:
- Substantial experience as a Business Analyst including business requirement definition and the specification of functional and non-functional systems requirements.
- Exposure to project planning/management to delivery.
- Qualified / Part Qualified / Qualified by experience Accountant
- Solid Commercial Banking, Treasury, Cash Management or Retail Banking experience or combinations thereof.

Salary Benefits

£525 - 575/day
