Business Analyst (QA) recruitment
As an integral part of the Product Management group, the business analyst will develop, execute and maintain test scenarios based on design documents and business requirements to ensure that the quality of our product meets the business expectations.
Duties
• Define test strategies, design test cases, and execute test scripts to validate new system functionality per functional specification
• Define the financial test data requirements and participate in its set-up and maintenance within the execution of test scripts
• Perform integration and regression testing
• Monitor and maintain automated regression testing processes
• Troubleshoot problems that might arise
• Collaborate with geographically dispersed team members and cross-functional team members daily, for test and execution strategies
• Manage defect reporting, issue resolution and documentation of test results
• Participate in planning and estimation of testing activities
• Provide timely and accurate status reports to the Project Management Office
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or Business related field preferred; or 3-4 years of equivalent work experience
• Minimum 2 year experience as a business analyst or equivalent experience in a programming or an application support role
• Strong written and verbal communication and analysis skills
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage time to meet deadlines
• Strong analytical skills with aptitude for problem solving
• Attention to detail in completing work tasks
• Ability and willingness to learn quickly
• Ability to follow well defined testing methodologies
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Experience with standard MS Office Tools
Desirable
• Knowledge of system testing best practices, methodologies and automation
• Experience within a financial services firm
• Knowledge of financial markets and/or financial instruments
• Understanding of information systems, interfaces, and databases (SQL)
• Exposure to the UNIX or Linux operating system
