Position Description:

Business Analysts are responsible for carrying out business analysis activities as directed by the Team Leader.
This includes requirements gathering, clarification with product experts, writing specifications and documentation, and supporting test activities. Business Analysts will be responsible for analyzing and documenting requirements for a project, and presenting these requirements in a form which can be used by the Developers to implement the functionality.

• The Business Analyst should bring knowledge and experience in the financial services industry, including the basic asset types and principles of fund management and fund accounting.
• The Business Analyst will be expected to develop a working knowledge of the project domain within a reasonable timeframe.
• In projects involving different products, the Business Analyst should gain a level of proficiency with these products to ensure that project requirements are understood. This will involve collaboration with product experts and other project team members.
• In integration projects, the Business Analyst may be expected to test interfaces to other products as part of the requirements specification process. This will involve some work on a technical level - starting programs from the command line and checking results in log files. Support for these activities will be available from the Developers. However the Business Analyst should be comfortable working at this level.
• The Business Analyst will be responsible for the preparation of user documentation for the systems being developed.

Position Requirements:
• Experience with financial management processes and systems - fund management, accounting, compliance, reconciliation, and financial data providers.
• Solid understanding of basic financial instrument types.
• Ability to capture and document business requirements in a form acceptable for software developers.
• Ability to write end user documentation of the systems being developed.
• Significant experience with any of the following:
• Fund management
• Investment accounting
• Compliance
• Reconciliation
• Energetic, enthusiastic and honest
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a collaborative development environment
• Ability to work under pressure
