Business Analyst – Securities Middle Office Change recruitment

Operations interfaces with all aspects of the Investment Banking organisation in driving through the solutions needed to support and develop the many different business areas of the Bank. Operations is the heart of the Investment Bank and is key in enabling the Bank to provide services and products whilst meeting the challenges being faced in a rapidly changing industry.

Part of the Securities Operations function handling F2B operational processing for Securities products, the Securities Middle Office Change team focuses on Change initiatives impacting the F2B flow for those products. There is global coverage from process and system synergies. The Securities Middle Office Change team undertake structured projects initiated by the functional areas and prioritised in line with Middle Office Strategy.

The team is responsible for both business demand impacting Operations, and also Operations demand on the Front and Middle Office process and system architecture.

The Business Analyst is responsible for interacting with the Securities Operations middle office teams, Front Office and Operations IT, and the business in order to deliver strategic change projects in this space. These projects span across the trade-dated controls processes, confirmation processing, client service initiatives, and business process re-engineering to support new revenue opportunities.

Key elements in this position:
- Initiate/participate/lead virtual teams as appropriate
- Agree project deliverables, deadlines and milestones with stakeholders, and communicate progress towards milestones
- Perform organisational, core process and root cause analysis. To develop plans to improve quality, service and cost metrics
- Identify and present process requirements to IT development teams and co-ordinate testing efforts ahead of management of delivery into the run-the-bank teams
- Proficient in business process re-engineering, and have awareness/proficiency in Operational management
