Business Analyst – Settlements recruitment
The Information Services Group (ISG) is responsible for providing authoritative sources of reference data to our clients across the Institutional Client Services (ICG) organization, through implementing state of the art technologies which promote the collection, storage, analysis, and distribution of product, pricing, account and corporate action data. The ISG organization works in partnership with data clients across all ICG business lines, deploying solutions to increase their competitiveness, through restructuring business processes, simplifying information access, and providing business intelligence around critical data.
The SSI Data Quality project is a key program which consists of significant work based in the SSI space spreading out to Accounts Control and Middle Office. Working with stakeholders both within ISG and outside will be a core task. The role is set working within the EMEA project management and business analysis group with significant scope for advance.
Key responsibilities:
- Support and assist on the data analysis and issue resolutions within the SSI and settlements;
- Design solutions to current problems and pressure points identified within the processes;
- Provide and build data reports and presentations for both internally and externally to the group;
- Write business requirements and technical specifications for systems modifications;
- Develop test plans, execute and manage the running of SIT and UAT cycles;
- Liaise with development teams to ensure correct translation of business specifications into a technical solution;
- Conduct requirements gathering workshops both one on one and in a group;
- Senior and internal stakeholder management; and ability to communicate clearly and succinctly to all levels of the organisation.
Skills
Knowledge/Experience:
- Proven experience as an analyst within investment banking environment;
- Writing testing documentation; Demonstrated ability to work under pressure in demanding environment;
- OMGEO Alert; Knowledge of front to back trade flow processing;
- Omgeo Oasys or CTM; Experience of work in settlements area; Previous experience in integrating with ALERT;
- Experience in other settlement vendor systems i.e. IMETA etc;
- Use and understanding of Jira.
Qualifications:
- University degree and full educational background.

Skills:
- Produce requirements documentation in both written and diagrammatic form utilising UML;
- Strong MS office skills, key packages MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel; Technical experience with relational databases - necessary (SQL);
- Data analysis and Excel modelling skills.
