Business Analyst – SQL/PL-SQL, Data Modelling Experience recruitment

On behalf of our client, a major bank based in Switzerland, Nicoll Curtin are looking to recruit a Business Analyst with SQL/PL-SQL and data modelling knowledge for a position working within Abolition Tax.

The Role:

* Clarify, analyse and model business requirements in the area of the European Business
Transformation (Abolition Tax) from various stakeholders and assess their applicability, technical
feasibility, complexity and cost.
* Analyse the existing system/design, based on documentation and code reviews.
* Define and propose design options, based on own analysis, discussions with business
partners, developers and architecture.
* Write IT functional and non-functional specifications (in English) for on-shore and/or
offshore developers.
* Organise reviews and manage design and IT specification sign-offs.
* Monitor development progress, ensuring what is developed is in line with what was specified.

Requirements:

* Ability to communicate clearly, openly and professionally his/her opinion to both business
partners and developers/architects. Good negotiation skills.
* Good time management, project management and organisational skills. Strong analytical thinker.
* Strong interpersonal skills and professional approach when interacting with business and IT
stakeholders.
* Excellent English skills (spoken and written) are required. German is a plus.
* SQL/PL-SQL and data modelling knowledge required, some Java/J2EE experience/understanding
would be an asset.
* Experience with offshore development teams would be a plus.
