Business Analyst – Swift Payments (London) recruitment

Roles/Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of Payments projects including IT change initiatives such as system decommissions, upgrades and enhancements, and process re-engineering projects.
Understand the key milestones through a project lifecycle to develop achievable plans to deliver against.
Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders and ensure they are informed on a timely basis of project statuses.
Partnering with business users to produce 'As-Is' process maps in a complete end-to-end business view and following analysis, produce 'To-Be' process flows.
Identify and understand key requirements and produce the necessary documentation.
Working with IT and various Operations users to test system development, manage testing cycles and document results.
Plan and document the implementation and migration approach, syndicate agreement with IT and the business, and support through to release and handover to BAU.
Assist in relevant project planning, project governance, project reporting and PMO activities.

Skills/Experience

Essential

Degree qualification or equivalent.
Proven Project Management and Business Analysis skills within an Investment Bank.
Knowledge and experience within the Payments and Settlements function within an Investment Bank.
Proven experience of challenging current process and managing business process change.
Process re-engineering background.
Experience in running User Acceptance Testing programmes.
Ability to confidently represent Operations and the project team across multiple Working Group forums.
Proactive approach to problem solving, process improvement and project work.
Ability to partner and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders from various areas of Operations and more broadly across the Bank.

Preferable

Knowledge of FX and Derivatives.
Knowledge of Payments systems such as Swift as well as an understanding of Swift messaging formats.
Knowledge of MS Visio and MS Project.
