Business Analyst Team Leader – Stock & Derivatives STP recruitment

Opportunity

MG are looking to recruit a Business Analyst Team Leader with strong stock and derivatives trade STP experience to join the Analysis team within Business Change. The Analysis team are responsible for supporting the successful delivery of projects across a wide variety of business areas from front to back office.

Key responsibilities

Team Leading
*Day-to-day line management of direct reports
*Identification of individual's objectives and on-going personal development
*Regular meetings with direct reports to understand progress and issues
*Perform half-year and end of year appraisals and input into annual performance reviews
*Regular and on-going feedback to direct reports and review of development needs
*Provide QA function to ensure consistency of analysis output across team
*Keep Head of Analysis updated on team members' performance and escalate any issues/concerns
*Recruitment, development and motivation of team and individuals
*Resource management to ensure team is efficiently allocated to projects
*Continual process improvement within the team

Business Analysis
*To work closely with business users across MG to capture business requirements
*Perform detailed analysis and identify impact of requirements on existing STP platforms and business processes
*Produce functional specifications and detailed trade messaging, transformation and routing specifications
*Work closely with the Data Integration Service area to input into release planning and define and manage the analysis deliverables against estimates.
*Collaborate closely with Developers to translate specified requirements into technical solutions.
*Define and execute system testing and work with Developers to resolve any defects
*Document current and future business processes and implement changes where necessary

*Have a genuine interest in expanding their knowledge and understanding of the challenges and developments impacting systems and operations in the Asset Management industry

Knowledge/Experience
*Experience of line management
*Business understanding of full trade lifecycle and lifecycle events
*Previous experience of working on trade STP and integration projects
*Knowledge of transaction processing across Fixed Income, Equities and ETD OTC Derivatives trades
*Knowledge and experience in messaging between trading applications and downstream accounting, confirmation matching, settlement and reconciliation systems
*Experience working with SWIFT messaging
*Knowledge of XML schema definition/design and SQL.
*Understanding of market standards (e.g. FpML, FIXML)
*Experience of trade STP from OMS (e.g. Latent Zero, ThinkFolio) would be advantageous

Other
*Investment Management Certificate, Investment Administration Qualification or equivalent.
*ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis
