Leading investment bank requires an experienced Business Analyst with knowledge of Structured Notes to join the Treasury and Liquidity team.

Strong knowledge of Structured Notes
• Treasury experience is helpful, appreciation of Operations and Finance business processes and controls is very useful.
• The majority of the analysis effort is focused on data sourcing, in particular identifying the sources that meet high data quality and controls standards. Thus BA must be able to follow the data through the e2e flow.
• The BA must be able to establish in detail what the current state is, to challenge that and design a quality (but pragmatic) future state.
• The BA needs to have enough business knowledge and business process awareness to get under the skin of the data sourcing and reporting process but enough technical awareness to work out what functional changes need to be made to the systems.
• The BA must be logical, structured in their thinking and approach and have good time management as user time needs to well managed.
• An IT background is highly desirable
This is a challenging and intellectually stimulating role which requires a BA with top class analysis skills, who questions and challenges in an emotionally intelligent way, and doesn't simply write down what the user says.
This role requires attention to detail and an innate understanding of what good looks like, but understanding that changes need to be justified both from a cost/benefits perspective and from a materiality standpoint.
This is a regulatory driven project with external deadlines. It is one of the highest profile and highest priority projects in IT this year.

– understand and document the current state
– work directly with business users to identify issues and establish what the future state vision is.
– work out how to move to an automated future state (replacing manual interventions, etc),
– gap between current and future state.
– deliver structured, complete business and functional requirement documents including report mockups
– raise requests with data providers
– deliver clear test plans and scripts to test functionality defined
– undertake functional testing based on these test scripts
– assist business users on interpreting the results of their testing in UAT
– assist business users in cutting over to the new processes and reports
