Business Analyst/Project Manager recruitment
The successful candidate will be a Business Analyst / Project Manager working in the Prudential Investment Management (PIM) Operations and Systems group. This group supports the applications used by the Prudential Capital Group and their support units (Compliance, Law and Operations) for private placement investment, asset and portfolio management processes.
Primary responsibilities include:
Partnering with clients to define and document business and system requirements and working with the technical team to evaluate alternative solutions. In cases where a decision is made to build an application, this person plays a key role in the application design process to ensure they meet the needs of the end user. Other responsibilities include developing test plans, coordinating user testing for new applications as well as existing application enhancements, providing end user support, troubleshooting and resolving production issues as they arise.
Additional responsibilities of this position may include but are not limited to the following:
- Supporting adherence to Enterprise Technology and Information Security Policies and managing the application related Sarbanes monitoring, testing and attestation/reporting.
- Vendor relationship management - for applications and services used in PCG's systems architecture
- Meeting with business partners to define and document process flows
- Performing gap analysis between business requirements and system functionality
- Preparing and maintaining project schedules
- Reporting of project task status and/or tracking and resolution of possible issues
- Testing and verifying database conversion results
- Assisting in the writing of end user training manuals
- Assisting with system rollouts, including training of end users
- Running basic SQL queries to fulfill testing duties and meet end user requests
Skills
Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent work experience. Candidate must be a self-starter, well organized, have good analytical skills, detail-oriented, and have good written and communication skills. Candidate must be able to work independently and with a team. The ability to interact with all levels of the organization is critical.
- Three years or more experience as a Project Manager and/or Business Analyst
- Working knowledge of: Lotus Notes, MS Excel, MS Word, MS SQL, MS Access
- An understanding of securities record keeping, accounting and reconciliation processes
- Certification in Project Management, familiarity with .Net application design and knowledge and experience with Agile Software Development concepts are a plus
