Business Analyst/Systems Analyst – Tier 1 Investment Bank recruitment
Overview
• Our client would like prior technical experience, someone that can gather, verify, analyse and support.
• They need someone that can work with clients and the development teams.
• The person will need to take charge of the back end router, applying scripting, test plans and scripting cases.
• Doesn't need to be hugely focused on compliance but this is a bonus.
Team
• Small team, so the person will need to be flexible, you will need to be involved in some Project Management work, but this is primarily a Business Analyst role.
• Communication skills are key; you will be representing technology with the clients.
• This is a replacement hire from an analysis background that picked up the systems, but this person will need know more of the systems skills.
Book of work
• There are 4 major projects this year. One key project is the role out of the I.T employee trading system, transaction surveillance system.
• You need to go through analysis, to testing to compliance control rooms.
• Another project is to replace a user interface.
Technical
• Not looking for any in depth technical understanding, somebody that can extract data from the system with SQL doing data analysis from the system.
• Looking for someone that can do Oracle, Java front end as well.
Sell
• They have a big budget increase in this area because of reliance to regulatory portfolio. The system gets the things they need to deliver on,
• The compliance work is very varied, with interaction with the capital raising side of the firm.
• The trade monitoring and surveillance teams are working with teams supporting multiple asset lines.
