Business and Reporting Analyst – Chicago, New York, or Columbus recruitment

This role will support the Consumer and Business Banking (CBB) line of business,
with a primary focus on providing operational analytics and reporting for the Third Party Oversight (TPO) Program.
This candidate will work closely with the CBB business partners, management, and other data analysts to help ensure that critical third party information (such as vendor performance, risk ratings, contracts, and spend) is captured and reports are developed and deployed as needed.
In addition, this candidate will support TPO strategic initiatives and identify process efficiencies as it relates to data.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Design, develop, and document reporting requirements, as defined by the business, to support the measurement, monitoring, and effectiveness of the CBB TPO Program; leverage tools provided by the firm-wide TPO program as appropriateProduce accurate, timely and consistent reporting to help manage the TPO Program: Proactively interface with LOB and MIS partners to meet reporting requirements; work closely with partners to investigate issues and resolve reporting discrepanciesCreate and maintain consistency in reporting across the organization where possible
Analyze a wide range of reports and presentations used across the organization for accuracy and consistencyIdentify data process improvements and leverage technology to streamline existing processesAssist in the development of ad-hoc reports or presentations as needed by senior management.
Develop scorecards and models to track and validate various key performance measurementsDesign, write and maintain data requests (required) and/or queries (a plus)As needed; the ability to influence, lead and/or mentor other team members throughout CBB - share your knowledge

Qualifications
Bachelors degree required; a financial or statistical emphasis is preferred; will accept work experience in lieu of educational backgroundMinimum of 5 years experience in financial and data analysis skills are required; Finance and MIS background highly desirable (Finance or Analytics/Reporting experience is strongly preferred)Experience or ability to review and analyze current business processes along with systems and make recommendations for process improvements and system enhancementsExperience in mining and analyzing data to provide valuable insight (reporting) to management and operations, in regards to the results and/or telling the storyDetail oriented with strong organizational, technical and analytic skillsSound judgment, problem solving skills and decision making abilitiesExcellent interpersonal skills necessary to work effectively with a variety of individuals, departments and organizations; must be a team playerAbility to manage shifting priorities (flexible) and work in a time sensitive environment (deadline driven deliverables)
Advanced MS Office and Access skillsExperience with data mining tools and/or programming experienceKnowledge of database environments - Oracle/ SQL Server; a plusKnowledge of SQL and PL/SQL language (Table, View, Trigger, Procedure, Package and etc...); a plusFinancial Services experience a plus
